QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must demonstrate excellent writing and analytical skills, and
must be extremely organized, detail oriented, computer savvy, and
comfortable multi-tasking. Responsibilities include substantive work on
cases such as investigation, reviewing and analyzing evidence,
proof-reading, and trial preparation, as well as general day-to-day
office tasks including answering phones, drafting correspondence,
indexing discovery documents, and filing.
Salary: $35,000/year plus comprehensive benefits package

ABOUT THE FIRM
Neufeld Scheck & Brustin, LLP is a small New York law firm founded by
Johnnie L. Cochran, Jr., Peter Neufeld, and Barry Scheck focusing on
civil rights litigation, particularly wrongful convictions and official
misconduct. We currently have a docket of approximately 25 cases across
the country that address systemic problems in criminal justice.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a bright, motivated, and committed recent college
graduate to work as a full-time paralegal for two years. The ideal
candidate is a person who is contemplating a career as a public interest
lawyer and is committed to civil rights or social justice issues.
