LAW LUNCH Oct 12: Marriage for Same-Sex Couples: Where Are We and
Where Are We Going?

Jennifer Levi of Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders (GLAD),
Boston, and co-counsel on the landmark Goodrich case that established
equal access to legal marriage for same-sex couples in Massachusetts,
will join us for an informal talk on the current status and future
direction of queer family law.

This is the first of three events this semester examining the
importance of legal recognition for queer relationships, co-sponsored
by the Law Program and the QCA. On October 17 at 5pm Jim de Seve
speaks and screens his powerful documentary about the impact of the
denial of legal status on working class queers, "Tying the Knot", and
in November we will have a guest speaker with a critical take on what
the prioritizing of equal marriage means for a more progressive queer
agenda.

Please join us!

This event is on Thursday, October 12th, 2006.
It is held at : Dakin Living Room, Hampshire College
This event starts at 12:00pm and ends at 1:00pm
