Hello!

This opportunity recently came through the CLA office - if any of the
offices cc'd on this email (CLPP, CFF, QCAC, GRN, Well) would be
interested in officially hosting an event at Hampshire this upcoming
year with Marty, let us know and we can coordinate from there. She does
a variety of bookings ranging from performances to more close-knit,
small group workshops. See her work at www.martyoutloud.com [2].

Best,

Ross

Hi there,

Just following up on an email I sent a few weeks ago about
world-renowned spoken word poet Marty McConnell (www.martyoutloud.com
[7]). She will be touring over the 2018-19 school year and we'd love to
have Hampshire College be part of the action!

As a current college undergrad myself, I've personally been attending
Marty's poetry workshops during my school year in Chicago. As soon as
she told me she was going on tour, I wanted to help get the word out!
Her performances tackle themes related to gender, sexuality, and our
various social identities, leaving students with a greater sense of
self-awareness regardless of their experience with poetry. Marty's
performances are ideal for new student orientation events, National
Coming Out Month, and Women's History Month, and her content incites the
kind of dialogue that elevates the university experience.

Let me know if you'd like to bring Marty to Hampshire College this
upcoming school year! Feel free to email me back with any questions,
interested clubs at your school, or potential performance dates and
we'll be in touch with you shortly. To view Marty's past work, check out
www.martyoutloud.com [2].

Thanks!

Wishing you a wonderful summer,

Grace
