</b>Antioch Education Abroad has study abroad programs including:
African Arts and Culture in Mali;
Brazilian Ecosystems in Brazil; Europe in Transition; Comparative
Woman's and Gender Studies in Europe; Antioch in Germany; Buddhist
Studies in India; and Buddhist Studies in Japan. This option (like any
non-Hampshire program or opportunity) is available to Hampshire
students to do as Hampshire Field Study.<br>

spring, come get help from faculty with your project proposals!
Available will be copies of previous applicants' project proposals to
see as an example, and faculty connected with the Cuba program will be
available to help students develop their own project ideas into a

Duke in the Andes</b><br>
The Duke in the Andes program, formerly located in La Paz, Bolivia,
reopened in Quito, Ecuador in spring 2007. The program, an
interdisciplinary examination of social, political, and cultural issues
in the Andean region and beyond, features homestays with local
families, direct enrollment in regular course offerings at the
Universidad Politécnica Salesiana and Pontificia Universidad Católica
del Ecuador, exceptional excursions to indigenous communities in the
highlands, Amazon, and coastal areas, and a team-taught core course on
nation-building and pluricultural societies at the Universidad Andina
Simón Bolivar. Students must have completed four semesters of
college-level Spanish. Interested students can contact Michelle

The International Partnership for Service-Learning and Leadership (IPSL)</b>
<br>
Offered in 14 countries, IPSL programs unite academic study for credit
and volunteer service, giving students a fully integrated study abroad
experience. The service enlivens the formal learning, and the learning
informs the service. Both students and the host communities benefit
from the substantial service each student gives. By studying at a local
university and serving 15-20 hours per week in a school, orphanage,
health clinic or other agency addressing human needs, students find
their knowledge of the host culture—and of themselves—take on greater
depth and meaning. <br>

<strong></strong>Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships</b><br>
The
Rotary Foundation provides the largest single U.S. scholarship program
for study abroad. Scholarships are available for all levels of study,
including high school, undergraduate, and graduate as well as to alums
and professionals. Generally not for use with study abroad programs
sponsored by U.S. institutions. Recipients can also use the award to
conduct research abroad. Application possible only through local Rotary
Clubs. Deadlines (locally determined) may be as much as one and
one-half years in advance. Web site provides scholarship information
and lists Rotary Clubs worldwide.<br>
