Brrr, it's 21 degrees outside. Lets think about summer!

The Global Education Office would like to highlight a few summer field 
study programs offered by both Hampshire College as well as outside 
program providers.

Basic Health International

Basic Health International in Partnership with Speak® El Salvador has 
developed a two week course intended for medical students that are 
interested in broadening their experience in the medical field outside 
the US. The first week of this two week course focuses as a Spanish 
class with a practical, cultural component. The second week offers a 
clinical experience in various rural clinical settings in El Salvador.

IESA (Institut d’Etudes Supérieures des Arts) Arts and French in Paris
29 June-24 July

Studies take place in the museums, galleries and streets of Paris, with 
excursions outside the city and on weekends. The options in Photography 
and Plein-Air painting are practical courses with some art history ; the 
art market programmes allow students to study the fine and decorative 
arts in the museums and galleries of Paris, within the context of the 
Parisian art market.
Language classes will be arranged to correspond to students’ choice of 
option and according to the level of the student’s ability. Languages 
classes are available for all students or you can choose among four 
modules in art and art history.

Dankook University in Korea

Dankook's International Summer School offers an intensive 4 week 
academic program in subjects such as Korean History, International 
Economics, and Koren and Chinese Language, among others. Students can 
also participate in a cultural activity four nights per week. Activities 
range from Taekwondo to Traditional Korean Cooking to Calligrahy to 
Korean Movie to Nature Hikes. Dankook faculty will also be available to 
guide students in an optional 8 week research project. Finally, Students 
can apply to get their flight reimbursed by arriving three weeks early 
to study Korean Culture and teach English to Korean students.
