CORC and the Creative Media Institute present Hampshire
College's first PITCHFEST. This is your chance to pitch your
idea for a TV show, feature film, web series, or documentary to
TV producer and Hampshire alum Jason Cilo! Read on for details
and share the attached flyer with anyone else who may be
interested.

PITCHFEST 2014! Friday, Oct. 3rd

Think you've got a can't-miss idea for a TV show, feature
film, web series, or documentary film? Here's a chance to find
out what at least one industry veteran thinks of your idea.

Hone your pitching skills in this risk-free environment
first, then hit the big time and knock 'em dead with your polish
and professionalism when it really counts.

Here's how it works:

Sign up for a time-slot at http://doodle.com/irfmaw9te3xk6bym

Come to the Kiva at 12:45 p.m. SHARP (for a 1pm start) on
Friday, October 3rd.

You'll have 5 minutes to pitch your idea, live and in
person, to a panel that includes Hampshire grad and NYC TV
Executive Jason Cilo 88F and Andrew Hart, Director of
Hampshire's Creative Media Institute.

Be prepared to pitch your idea succinctly, verbally, and
professionally for no longer than 5 minutes.
Why do you think your idea is good? Why do you think it's
got commercial potential? What other things out there in the
world is it similar to? Why are you the person to bring this
project to fruition?

Remember, you're going to be doing this in front of a crowd.
Being "good in the room" is an invaluable skill if you have
creative ambitions that require other people to give you money
to realize your vision. Be creative. Think outside the box. All
the cliches apply. You've got 5 minutes to use wisely. Pitches
will be timed. There will be 10 minutes allotted for feedback on
your pitch. This is all about positivity and about helping you
think about projects with some real-world feedback. There are no
bad ideas.
