What up Excalibrites,

Thursday is Halloween! Boo! But Thursday's not an Excalibur day! Boooo!

Nevertheless, on Thursday I will be upholding my annual Halloween
tradition of an All Hallow's Eve Horror Movie, and this year I'm
inviting Excalibur to join me for a spooky, shadowy, unofficial
screening!

The movie this year is "Nosferatu the Vampyre" (also known as
"Nosferatu: Phantom of the Night"), directed by German cinema star,
ubiquitous documentary voice and man who I wish could narrate my life,
Werner Herzog. It is a remake of the classic silent film "Nosferatu",
an unofficial adaptation of Bram Stoker's "Dracula" that has become
one of the most influential of both horror and German Expressionist
films that has also helped to shape the popular mythology of vampires
as it exists today. (You know how sunlight kills vampires? That notion
was popularized by "Nosferatu".)

So come join me Thursday at 8:30 in FPH (room TBD) for an evening of
chills, thrills and (hopefully no) spills. Be sure to bring all of
your clean, young, luscious blood!

   - Eli
