Hey folks!

I just wanted to wish all of you a happy holidays and let you guys
know that I was very happy with the way this semester ended. Milk and
Cookies night was fantastic..and damn did we have a lot of cookies
left over. I only have one complaint, and that was the fact that
despite being asked repeatedly by signers to stop talking, some people
continued to loudly do so during the movies. Therefore, I have on
request: if you don't like the movie(s) we're showing (and not just
for Milk and Cookies but in general) then leave, don't sit there and
loudly bash it. Similarly, don't sit there and loudly critique the
movie while it's playing. If you want to criticize/bash the movie, do
it outside or start a blog. Otherwise, consider screenings like they
take place in an actual movie theater..you don't talk in a movie
theater because chances are you are sitting behind some large dude
with a temper who will not hesitate to bash in your teeth because you
are being rude and disruptive...also, it's rude and disruptive. I'm
not saying that will happen at Excalibur, but if it continues despite
constant requests to stop, I will ask you to leave permanently.

Other then that minor complaint, things went well! Again, I wish you
guys a happy holidays and hope you have a good break. If you are
coming back for Jan-term, we will either watch a trilogy (eg. LotR,
Star Wars, Batman) or a three-episode mini series like Tin Man. If
you have any other suggestions please email me. And for those coming
back in the spring, some stuff you have to look forward to include
another Deathfest, our Dress Fancy Valentine's Day screening
(seriously..dress classy), Cthulhu Night, and another Milk and Cookies.

See you guys in two weeks!

- Lauren
