Hey everyone.
Ok, so, here's how it's gonna go...
Two Wednesdays a month I would like to have one-shot role-playing games in
the Merrill House office. My plan is to have one person DM a game every other
week on a wednesday night. The driving idea behind them is to have older DM's
run short games in different systems primarily in order to train anybody
interested in DMing at Deathfest. The different systems allow both players and
DM's to see what techniques work well in which games, what works well in all
games, and what just makes for a sucky campaign. However, if this works out, I
would not be averse to opening it up and getting the geek community at large
involved.
On the alternate Wednesdays, the Reject Rare Draft will be taking any old
crap rares you may have lying around and combine them with our stock of
hundreds of crappy rares to draft them into big crappy decks. This takes the
combo-heavy mechanic out of the game and makes in fun, crazy, and best of all
free. We also have a big budget and may get to open some new booster boxes. So
if you want to draft or bring some decks and brawl we're going to be in the
Merrill House Office on the second and fourth Wednesdays.
What this means is that every Wednesday, come on down to the Merrill House
office for good Geekish fun. Play with other geeks, head to head or side by
side. That's what I'm talking about.
If anybody is particularly interested in DMing, playing, or drafting, please
contact me.
Thanks everybody, and may ze schwartz be vis you!
