Hello Excaliburites!
Long time since we last spoke, what with Deathfest and Mythos cancellations of
the screenings. Well we aim to fix that this week at 8:00PM in ELH of FPH!
This Saturday we will be showing The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch
and the Wardrobe for those of you who missed it the first time around in
theaters. Come see the fantastic fantasy world and snicker at the Christian
allegory!
We will also be showing the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society's film, The Call
of Cthulhu. Made in the spirit of the 1920's, this black and white silent film
epic will set the tone for Monday's celebration, which will be mentioned
shortly in this e-mail.
For those of you still alive after this movie marathon, we may even show some
Gargoyles for those who request it! Madness!
Speaking of madness, this Monday is Cthulhu night here at Hampshire College!
Join us at 9:00PM when we meet in the ELH for a night of chalk based fun. We
will do our damned best to raise an elder god using chalk and the ground of
this fine institution, we count on you getting as many people as you come to
help us turn this sleepy campus into a color strewn nightmare land for those
who wake-up unawares the next morning. Or better yet, help up summon an unholy
abomination!
Keeping with the trend of this e-mail being super long, I will also advertise
for Necronomicon, hooray for more Lovecraftian reference!
Join us this Friday at 8:00PM in the WLH for a sound effects workshop! We will
provide $40 worth of fruits and vegetables which we will proceed to wail on in
hopes of making sickening sounds to match to video clips we will make! If you
have yourself a baseball bat, bring it along, or anything else you feel will
contribute to such an endeavor!
Also, Asian Media meets on Thursday, and I am sure they are doing something
similarly awesome to keep your week filled with the finest in geek related
entertainment!
Alright, this e-mail is officially done! I will see you all this weekend for the
madness that is everything!
Chris Lovecraft is my true master Sommer
