Told you we'd be coming back with the classics for the last two official
screenings, and who's more classic than Bela Lugosi?
8:00 - Easily the most influential vampire movie, 1931's Dracula catapulted
Bela Lugosi to stardom. One of the classic Universal monster movies. This is a
short one so the next film will start at...
9:30 - with 1932's White Zombie. Yes, Rob Zombie got the name for his band from
this movie. This one is about zombies in the classical sense. A fella tries to
make a woman obey his whims and seeks the help of a witch doctor (Lugosi). Bad
things ensue. This one's one of our signers faves, so give it a look. This is
another short one (What can I say, they made 'em short back then), so we should
be out before 11.
A couple of big time classics next week, and then we might show some of the
stuff we couldn't fit in with the rest of the semester's screenings.
