[Excalibur] **VIRUS**

Hey all,

In case whoever has the infected computer doesn't pick up on the
significance of that last message that was sent to this group, I
thought I should mention it. Someone who's subscribed to the Excalibur
mailing list has their computer infected by a variant of the Klez
virus, which was trying to spread by sending itself to this list, and
failed because it was detected by Hampshire's virus scanners.

The email said that it came from trconnolley at wisc.edu. That's probably
not true; rather, the email actually came from somebody who has that
email address in their address book. Anybody know a UM-Madison student
named Timothy Ryan Connolley? If so, you've got a virus on your
computer. (If nobody knows that person, then the virus must have picked
up that address several generations ago, and could be on anyone's
system. I don't know if the virus is smart enough to do that, but It
wouldn't surprise me.)

By the way, if you do know that person, you should let them know that
their computer is probably infected, too.
