VOLUNTEER Assistant to Environmental Education Club<br>
<br>
<br>
THE Trustees of Reservations will be providing an Environmental Club
for<br>
participants in The CONNECTIONS Program at the E.N. White School
in<br>
Holyoke, MA. We are seeking a volunteer to assist the
Environmental<br>
Education Instructor in implementing the program.<br>
<br>
Responsibilities<br>
Share your love of the outdoors with kids. The Program Assistant
works<br>
with the Education Coordinator in providing place-based,
environmental<br>
education to Holyoke youth grades 2 - 5. Opportunity to tutor
youth<br>
prior to the beginning of the Environmental Club.<br>
<br>
Required Skills & Abilities<br>
Ability to work with youth in and out of doors, willingness to
hike<br>
outdoors in all seasons, provide an enthusiastic and positive role
model<br>
for youth. Volunteer must agree to a CORI check and provide own<br>
transportation.<br>
<br>
Time Commitment Needed<br>
2.5 hours per week, 3:30pm-6pm Thursdays, starting January 29, 2009
and<br>
ending March 26, 2009, excluding February 19. Opportunities
available<br>
for additional hours. Any interested volunteers should respond as
soon<br>
as possible.<br>
