Farm Coordinator Position--United Teen Equality Center<BR>
The United Teen Equality Center, a youth organization located in <BR>
downtown Lowell, is in search of a part-time Farm Coordinator to help <BR>
run its Youth Farming Project on 2.5 acres of land in Dracut, just <BR>
outside of Lowell. We recently completed our first farming season last <BR>
summer. Our goal is for the project to be youth-led, therefore, we are <BR>
looking an individual who can serve as guidance and support for all <BR>
youth involved (supervising approximately 12 youth during the summer <BR>
and 4 youth throughout the remainder of the year). <BR>
<BR>
We are looking for an individual that is skilled in sustainable, <BR>
urban farming techniques, with the ability to both teach and apply <BR>
these techniques. As well, this individual should be committed to <BR>
empowering work with Lowell’s young people, with specific focus of <BR>
the farm project’s educational focus including: environmental <BR>
justice/racism, imperialism and its effects, conventional versus <BR>
sustainable farm practices, and sustainable living. <BR>

</SPAN><FONT SIZE="2"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:10.0px'>Compensation: The position pays $14.00-14.50 per hour, 20-30 hours a week during the months of June, July and August.
