The Summer Ecosystem Experiences for Undergraduates (SEE-U) Program at
Columbia, University, offered by the Center for Environmental Research and
Conservation (CERC), is a unique academic opportunity that in five weeks
equips its participants with a thorough introduction to field conservation
ecology. Students can take this summer course in one of three locations:
Upstate New York, the Dominican Republic or Brazil. At the end this five
week course, SEE-U students come away with a keen appreciation of the
scientific method and how to apply it, as well as a deep seeded love of
nature and concern for its preservation. Students also earn 6 credits which
may be used to fulfill science requirements at the home institution and have
been approved to be used toward laboratory requirements at Columbia
University.
The deadline for applications with fellowship consideration is March 15th.
Rolling admission may begin after March 15th pending space availability.
