[ESSP] First ESSP speaker of the semester

Hi folks!
The Environmental Science and Sustainability Program is back underway 
with our first speaker this Friday!

"Environmental Effects of Continuing Ozone Pollution
In The Connecticut River Valley "
Friday 12:00 - 1:30 in CSC 333


Chris Bergweiler is a Mass. Native, who also lived several years in 
Germany. He has an MS in Forest Ecology from UMass (1999) where his 
research focused on Forest Regeneration associated with the 
controlled deer hunts in the Quabbin. He holds a PhD in Environmental 
Plant Biology (UMass 2001), where he studied Ozone Pollution in the 
Pioneer Valley and its effects on Native Bioindicator Plants. He has 
taught courses at UMass, has worked on IPM (Integrated Pest 
Management) through UMass Ext. Sustainable Agriculture Programs and 
is currently an environmental consultant in air pollution.
