A few thoughts and a request.

I like Jon's ideas form a previous e mail:

Slide show/s at the college outing clubs in December, Me, Ward, Al,
anyone?
	Competition in January
	Silent auction in February
5 college outdoor fest in early March
	Finally the Winter Thaw
We can nail down dates for the 5 college fest and the Winter Thaw.
Perhaps a Farley Initiative addenda to our existing WMCC brochures.
A slip in information packet about the goal that we can use to hand
out to friends/family who may not climb but are in a high enough
tax bracket to benefit from a deductible donation.
The web site will need some updating as well. The PayPal account
thing sounds like a good idea. Also maybe a significant donor page.
$100-250, 250-500, 500- 1000, over 1000$ with your name in
whichever category, might encourage some businesses to donate if they
can get some advertising out of it.

I am suggesting things we can do via e mail so all of us can
participate: one of us starts a thread and I'll compile the data.

Let's create a plan of what we would like to do and share it with
each other so we will all be paddling in the same direction. Take
Jon's ideas and pass them out.

Let's create a donor/contact list - names, titles, contact info.,
who knows who, how they can help

Let's add to the 12 e mail addresses above: who is gonna actually
get this shit done?

Let's get that new board member - well, on board.

Let's create a long term wish list (I know we talked about it, but
let's start it) What do we want WMass climbing to look like in 5, 10,
20 years?

Let's create and "stump speech" we can draw on, disseminate
(message boards, crags), try to get published in the mags and local
newspapers

Let's identify partners who would benefit from this parking area:
the mountain bikers? The trust for public land? Get Harry and his
hikers off their asses!

I called the legion - March 17th and 31st (the third and fifth
saturday) are already booked. We need to move on entertainment.

Ball's you're courts . . .

Rob
