{InfoBar} Clarification About the Current Mask Policies

Hi Everyone,

Several students have had covid exposures this week, so I'm hoping to
provide some clarification regarding current campus policies.

-Masks are optional in the library, unless you have been exposed, have
symptoms, or are recovering from covid. Masks are mandatory if you are in
a class in the library classroom. If you choose not to wear a mask at
work, please be respectful and mask up if you have to work closely with
someone who is wearing a mask and who asks you to wear one while you are
working together.

-If you have been exposed, get a pcr test and wear a mask for 10 days after
exposure. You should be wearing a KN95 or an N95 mask during this time.
You are able to come to work while you are waiting for your results,
provided you wear a mask and do not have symptoms. If you only have
surgical masks, don't worry, we can give you a KN95 at the library (we are
able to get them from Duplications and we always have some on hand).

-If you have symptoms, get a pcr test (or use 2 rapid antigen tests, spaced
24 hours apart) and do not come to work until you have your results. While
you should not be out and about during this time, make sure to wear a mask
if you do have to leave your room (to go to health services for a test, for
instance).

These are the two most recent campus announcements about masking and what
to do if you experience symptoms:

I hope this helps for now.
