Hello Everyone,

I'm just passing along this message in case some of you didn't get your
Covid test Tuesday. Testing is very important right now, and we all
need to do our best to be tested each week. Please do go this morning
if you missed your test on Tuesday. We've been using the Coverified app
for over a year now, so if you have questions about using it, feel free
to ask me or Sam for help with it.

Thanks,

Suzanne

ASYMPTOMATIC TESTING SESSION TODAY (THURSDAY 9/16) 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Because of an unusual number of missed tests this week, the Testing
Committee will be hosting an additional Asymptomatic Testing Session
tomorrow. Details are as listed:

DATE: Thursday, 09/16/2021 TIME: 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. LOCATION: Robert
Crown Center Gymnasium

WHO SHOULD GET TESTED TOMORROW: ANY EMPLOYEE OR STUDENT WHO MISSED
HAMPSHIRE'S TESTING TUESDAY YESTERDAY (09.14.2021) MUST BE TESTED,
UNLESS YOU ALREADY ACQUIRED A MAKE-UP TEST ON YOUR OWN. This testing
session is also available to those who have been identified by contact
tracers as close contacts to a Covid-19 case. Finally, those who feel
the need to get tested are also invited to participate tomorrow.

Here is some helpful information about close contacts:

 	* A close contact is anyone within 6 feet (masked or unmasked) of a
person with Covid-19 for a total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour
period (for example, three individual 5-minute exposures for a total of
15 minutes).
 	* Close contacts are identified by an interview with trained contact
tracers working with the MA Department of Public Health. Hampshire
College Health Services coordinates with the UMass Contact Tracing Team
to identify any close contacts.
 	* Fully vaccinated asymptomatic close contacts may continue to conduct
activities indoors and outdoors (attending classes, go to work,
participate in recreational activities, etc.) but must wear a mask in
all indoor spaces. This means no indoor dining.
 	* Fully vaccinated close contacts who have symptoms must stay home, be
masked at all times outside of their private residential room, and
self-isolate until a negative test result is received 3-5 days after
exposure.
 	* Students with Covid-19 symptoms should call Health Services [1] (413
559-5458) for guidance and symptomatic testing. Employees should call
their healthcare provider or a pharmacy for symptomatic testing.
 	* Any close contact who is not fully vaccinated must quarantine (at
home or in quarantine housing on campus) and re-test on days 6-8. If the
test is negative and the person is asymptomatic, they may leave
quarantine after day 7. If not tested, you must quarantine for 14 days.
 	* If you wish to test before the next campus testing day (Tuesday,
09/21), UMass Amherst has a Community Covid-19 Testing Site [2]. Also,
the state of Massachusetts has a list of other asymptomatic testing
locations, [3] or you can go to a local pharmacy. If you need
assistance, please email the deanofstudents at hampshire.edu
 	* Hampshire policies are consistent with MA Department of Public
Health guidelines, which recommend a Covid-19 test 3-5 days after a
close contact's last exposure to the person with Covid-19 infection.
Additionally, close contacts should remain vigilant and monitor for
symptoms for 14 days after last exposure to Covid-19.

For more guidelines, please visit the Current Covid FAQs [4]. For
questions regarding Hampshire's Asymptomatic Testing Program, please
email c19testing at hampshire.edu.
