Hi All,
By now most of you have probably witnessed how slowly some jobs print.
Please know that IT is aware of the problem and is trying to resolve it.
In the meantime, if jobs seem stuck and patrons are desperate to get
their jobs and go, you can offer to let them print from one of the
InfoBar computers. They can do this so long as a staff person is here
and the circulation office is open. If this happens after a supervisor
has left you can shut the copiers off (power button is on the left side,
directly under the touch screen) and turn them back on to clear the
problem job. Do not have the patron send the same document to the copier
because the same thing will happen again. Please give patrons the purple
Papercut slips if they sent their jobs multiple times and want to be
refunded for them. Now that IT has witnessed the problem we hope it will
be fixed soon.
Please ask if you have questions about this email.
