[Circulation] SIGN UP FOR TEMPORARY SHIFTS AT THE LIBRARY!

Hi All, 

Welcome back! This is the reminder that we begin the temporary spring
schedule on Sunday, 1/ 17. From Sunday through Monday, 1/25 we will be
open until 10pm. I anticipate having the schedule meeting on 1/25. So,
open shifts will be 10am - 2pm, 2pm - 6pm, or 6pm - 10pm each day. The
temporary schedule is posted. I ask that you take 3 shifts on it. ONLY
SIGN UP FOR SHIFTS THAT YOU KNOW YOU CAN WORK PLEASE! 

You might remember that at the end of the semester I let you all know
that our director, Jennifer, wanted more coverage of the library, so
there should always be at least one staff and one student or two
students scheduled at a time. And speaking of staff, Rhana will continue
to process reserves and ILLs. Karen Mehl, who is the circulation
supervisor at Mount Holyoke, will also be covering some nights and
weekends. In addition to me and Rachel, Rhana and Karen are also your
supervisors and will be giving you work assignments. Karen is here when
I am not so it is hard for me to train her in everything, so please do
help if you find that she encounters something that I have not trained
her in. I can, however, tell you that she is an expert in Aleph so
please do not hesitate to ask her your Aleph questions when I am not
available. We do anticipate running searches for the reserves and ILL
positions some time this spring. I will let you know Rhana and Karen's
exact work schedules once they are finalized this weekend. 

I will be in from 10am - noon on Sunday morning but off on Monday for
Martin Luther King Day. Please do put your name on the temporary
schedule, which is posted on the bulletin board outside the circulation
office. Rhana will be working Monday 8 - 4 and Karen will be working 2 -
10. I am going to try to stay out of my Hampshire email this weekend so
if you have a scheduling question that cannot wait until Tuesday please
do call or text me: 413-478-1619. Likewise please let me know if your
contact information has changed.
