Hello All,
Some reminders based on recent happenings:
-Please make sure to put returned Hampshire books on the correct
reshelving carts. There are 3 carts: A-HN, HQ-PZ, and Q-Z. An HM
hold book was overlooked yesterday because it was reshelved on the
A-HN cart.
-If you encounter a stack of books just sitting somewhere always run
them through check in. Today I found 4 books that a patron claimed to
have returned on the Q-Z cart, still checked out to the patron.
-When shelf reading, please make sure to either check the tops of the
books for the Hampshire stamp or check the barcode of each item to
make sure you are looking at all Hampshire books before checking to
make sure they are in call number order. Last week Elizabeth found
both Amherst and UMass books shelved in our stacks while shelf reading!
-Lastly, please make sure that carts have notes showing that they've
been double checked before you take them up to be reshelved. The 5
College books mentioned in the point above should have been caught if
the cart were double checked before being reshelved, and if the person
doing the double checking were paying attention to the transit notes.
Thank you for your cooperation with all of this,
Suzanne
