Dear Suzanne,

Something very urgent has come up today and I have to meet with one of  
the school councilors at 4 o clock. I did not realize this sooner to  
give you a more appropriate notice. I don't know what to do because I  
don't feel like I can miss my meeting with the councilor but I also  
don't want to miss my shift at the library. I am usually not this  
irresponsible, and I apologize.
My meeting will only go until 5 o'clock so I can still come in from 5  
until six? or I can pick up a shift on Friday. I don't know how to  
contact someone about taking over for me. I am very sorry that this  
has come up, and I will make sure it does not happen again.
