Hello All,

You are receiving this email because I am expecting that you will be working at
the library during the fall semester. If your circumstances have changed and
you will not work here, please let me know ASAP so that I can hire a
replacement. As it stands now, it looks like I have all the positions filled
and may not have to hire anyone. However, you will have a new evening
supervisor. Pete's last day is Friday. He will be moving to Michigan to help
his friends run a deli. Please wish him well in his new endeavor. Pete's job
will hopefully be posted soon so we may not have anyone in place until
mid-September. Therefore it is really important that we cover the evenings on
the temporary schedule.

Here's a refresher of what happens the first week of the semester:
You may begin working as of Tuesday, September 7. The library will be open
until 4:30pm that day. From Wednesday, September 8 through approximately
Wednesday, September 15 we will operate on the temporary schedule. During that
time the library will be open until 10pm each night. You are all required to
work 3 shifts (12 hour equivalent) that you choose on the temporary schedule.
I am most concerned with covering 4:30 - 10pm each night. Please only sign up
for shifts that you know you can work, as there will be no evening supervisor
there as back-up. The temporary schedule is posted on the bulletin board
behind the circulation desk. Please choose shifts at your earliest
convenience.

Lots of changes have occurred in our work space. The renovation is not yet
complete but will hopefully be close when you return.

I look forward to seeing you all again soon. Please contact me if you have
questions about working at the library.

Suzanne
