[Circulation] reference course

This is to advertise the reference course offered by the reference librarians. 
This course teaches you how to use paper and online resources.  Taking and
successfully completing this course makes you eligible to work a shift or 2 on
the reference desk.  Here are the specifics:  The course will begin in February
after classes have started.   The day and time of the course will be determined
by the availability of the students taking it.  The course will run through the
spring semester.  Each class is two hours long.  You will be paid for one hour
for each class you attend.  Students who satisfactorily complete this course
will be eligible to work on the reference desk in the Fall 06 term.  We
desperately need new recruits as all of our current student reference workers
are graduating this January or May.  I encourage all interested students to
take this course.  Taking it will benefit you academically as well as
financially.
