Hi Everyone,
As of this writing, Triple I is still down at the dumb terminals at
the desk. We hope to be back up some time today. If we are not,
Susan will leave circulation office open on Saturday and Sunday and
you may do circulation transactions on the computer opposite my desk.
Sarah and Amelia, please close the door to the office at closing if
it was open during your shifts.
The Drepung Ioseling monks will be making their Medicine Buddha Sand
Mandala in the library next Monday through Thursday. This will
happen in the Special Collections Room on the 2nd floor. Make sure
you check it out. I've heard that it's an amazing thing to see.
Students who are interested in working at the library during the
summer should talk to Susan Dayall. She is taking applications and
she'll will be hiring for 2 positions.
I'm taking Monday off, so if you to address something that can't wait
until Tuesday please talk to Chris.
I went to a five college workshop about supervising student workers
on Wednesday and I left with a really good feeling about our staff.
Every 5 colIege library was represented and I heard some horror
stories from other supervisors about the bad things that happen in
their departments. It made me appreciate what a great job you all
do. I don't tell you that often enough, so thank you for all that
you do.
