Hi Everyone,

This e-mail is to clarify some library policies.

1.  Reserve Check-Outs
Patrons should only be allowed to borrow one reserve item at a time. 
That means just one reserve book, CD, DVD, video, cassette, or 
article.  The only exceptions to this rule are:

a) the patron may have 3 articles if photocopying, or
b)  the patron is borrowing a DVD, video, or CD and needs a 
video/audio key, headphones, or DVD remote.

This one item only policy applies even when the patron is borrowing 
after 9:00p.m.   Lately we've been seeing fine notices printed for 
patrons who had multiple reserve books or CD's checked out to them. 
This is unfair to other students in the class because it denies them 
access to the materials.  Please be firm with this policy, and if 
anyone challenges it ask them to speak with a staff person in the 
Circulation Office.

2.  Media Services Returns
Patrons sometimes return videos, dvd's and other equipment to us 
after the Media Services office has closed.  Please remind patrons 
that we cannot check the items in and we cannot guarantee that they 
will not be charged late fees.  That decision rests solely with the 
Media Services staff, even if the items were returned on the day they 
were due but after the office closed.

3.  Book Sale
The library will hold a book sale Monday - Friday of next week.  The 
books will be shelved next to the circulation desk and instructions 
will be posted at the desk.  The cash box need to be locked in the 
headphone cabinet at closing.

4.  Spring Break
Several people are looking for subs for next week.  If you can help 
out, please respond to the e-mails or sub requests on the bulletin 
board.    People looking for subs should remember to post requests on 
both the bulletin board and the circstaff list .
