Hi Everyone,
We are now using recycled paper in the student photocopiers. You
will notice that the packages have arrows indicating which way the
paper should be loaded into the copiers - the arrow should face up.
It is important that this kind of paper be loaded this way because
the two sides are different, and loading the other side up may lead
to more paper jams. We do know the furthest copier is jamming
frequently - parts have been ordered for it.
I want to remind you to fill out your time slips each time you work,
not at the end of the pay period. It is also important for you to
log only the hours that you work. For instance, if your shift runs
from 9:30-1:30 and you come in at 10:00, you shouldn't be putting
9:30 as a starting time. I make notes about schedule changes and
Chris leaves me notes as well. I will (and do) change the hours on
time slips if I have something indicating that the hours are not
correct.
Lastly, please be considerate of the person you are replacing and be
on time. I've heard the excuse that the library's clock is 5 minutes
fast. If you know this, leave for work 5 minutes earlier. The time
on the
library clock is the one you are leaving by, isn't it?
