Hi Everyone,
Bonnie Vigeland, HA librarian, asked me to make you all aware of one
of our special collections that patrons may be asking for. The
Pauline Kael collection, with the location HC/Kael Collection, is
housed in a locked room on the 2nd floor (the room is also used for
videoconferencing). The books were donated by Pauline Kael, a film
critic and columnist for The New Yorker. Patrons have access to this
room only when a full-time staff member can let them into the room.
It is very important for the patron to have the complete call number
of the item that they want, because as Bonnie points out, most of the
collection is in the call number range PN1992.5. Please direct
students who need access to the Kael collection to the circulation
office for assistance.
At Chris' suggestion, there is now a first aid kit at the circulation
desk. It is in the cabinet with the copier paper, and has the basics
like bandaids and other supplies.
