Hello Blacksmith Guild e-mail list members!

I hope your new semester classes are going well. This e-mail is an attempt to
get the blacksmith guild together and hammering again for Spring '06.

If the experienced blacksmiths among you could send me an e-mail at
djc05 at hampshire.edu with times that you will be in the forge for this semester
(if you have a relatively solid weekly schedule). This is so I can send out
another e-mail later and give everyone a schedule for spring forge hours.

For those who don't know, forge hours will be times when you can go to the
Lemelson Center and learn the basics/practice smithing under the supervision of
more advanced students. You should feel free to do this, even if you know
absolutely nothing about blacksmithing. However, if this is the case, note that
smithing can be a frustrating, not to mention dangerous, process. If you are
patient, careful, and willing to learn, we welcome you with open arms!

The Forge Hours (so far):
Tuesdays, After dinner (more specific hours to come):Dan Cottle, Jacob Lefton
Fridays, Time TBA: Ben Westbrook, Dan Cottle
