[ASL] ASL lunch and upcoming events

Hi everyone,

Just writing to let you know that next Wednesday 4/30 is the last ASL lunch of
the semester. Noon to one in the dining commons at Hampshire College. Please
come out!

Ayisha Knight-Shaw is a Black Deaf Lesbian artist and Reiki master who has been
seen on HBO Def Poetry Jam, WGBH Basic Black, and Urban Update sharing her
poetry and CD "Until," and her book "Vital Signs." She will be performing a
1-hour presentation of poems dealing with issues of identity. Interpreters
provided. Admission is free!


Wednesday, May 7th
6:00 PM

East Lecture Hall

Screening of "Beyond Silence," the story of Lara, the child of two deaf parents
who discovers a passion for the clarinet. German and German Sign Language with
English subtitles. Free admission and snacks!
