Hi everyone,
Mark your calendars, there are so many ASL/Deaf happenings this month! Some
things listed here may be new to you and some you may know about but I
thought I should send a reminder.
Saturday, April 1 Deaf Bingo Social from 3:00 6:00 at the Moose Family
Lodge Center in Chicopee.
Friday and Saturday, April 7 & 8 ASL Festival and workshops at
Northeastern University in Boston.

Friday through Sunday, April 7, 8 & 9 He Died For Me, Bethany Assemblys
2006 Easter Presentation. Music and Drama with signing. Friday 7:00,
Saturday 6:00, Sunday 3:00 and 6:00. 580 Main St. Agawam, MA.
Saturday, April 15 Peter Cook and The Flying Words Project! See the
attached reviews about this amazing performing duo! (sorry, the attachment
is hard to read unless you print it out.) World famous Deaf performer Peter
Cook and his hearing colleague, Kenny Lerner, perform ASL poetry using ASL,
mime, body movement and spoken English. This show is for everyone, Deaf,
hearing, signers and non-signers. Bring your non-signing friends and
introduce them to ASL and the best of the Deaf performing arts! This free
performance is at Hampshire College in Amherst on Saturday, April 15 at 7:00
pm in the Main Lecture Hall of Franklin Patterson Hall. There should be
signs directing you to parking once you get on campus. For more

Friday, April 21 Silent Pizza Night at Holyoke Community College, HCC
Cafeteria at 5:30. Free pizza!
Sunday, April 23 Fundraiser for the Paro Family. A supper social with a
magician and raffles is being held from 1:00-6:00 at the Moose Family Lodge
Center in Chicopee. Fees and donations go to support the family of recently
deceased Kenneth Paro. You must buy tickets by April 12 for this event,
let me know if youd like more information.
Thursday, April 27 HEAF Club in West Springfield. Hearing and Deaf social
at Hometown Buffet on Riverdale St. at 5:30.
And
signers continue to meet and socialize every Thursday starting at 6:30
at the Haymarket Café in Northampton!
