Hi everyone,

I know it's late but maybe there's still time to join a class in the fall.
For those of you who've been looking for ASL and Deaf Studies classes, here
are the ones I know about that are in or near the Pioneer Valley. I'll just
list schools and a general idea of what they offer and you can learn more by
looking at the web sites.

Holyoke Community College has ASL and Deaf Studies classes listed on their
web site at www.hcc.mass.edu <http://www.hcc.mass.edu/> (They're offering
an ASL V class this year!)

Greenfield Community College offers two ASL classes which are listed at
www.gcc.mass.edu <http://www.gcc.mass.edu/>

Hampshire College in Amherst is offering ASL I this fall. I'm not sure if
you need to be a 5-college student to join. Their web site is
www.hampshire.edu <http://www.hampshire.edu/>

Northwestern Connecticut Community College in Winsted, CT. offers ASL, Deaf
Studies and Interpreter Preparation classes. Their web site is
www.nwcc.commnet.edu <http://www.nwcc.commnet.edu/>

College of the Holy Cross in Worchester MA., has ASL and Deaf Studies
classes listed on their web site at www.holycross.edu
<http://www.holycross.edu/>

Amherst LSSE (Leisure Services and Supplemental Education) offers a
Beginning Sign Language course which is a weekly class, from Sept.26 -
Nov.7. Their web site is www.lsse.org <http://www.lsse.org/>

Anything else?

I hope some of you find this information helpful for yourself or maybe a
friend who has been asking about learning ASL.

Have a great week!

Lorraine
