7th Annual Fall ASL Training
Visualize This! with Trix BRuce
Patricia (Trix) Bruce is known nationwide as both a workshop presenter and an ASL performer. Trix's work has been warmly received in local community centers, national RID chapters, Deaf Way II, interpreter conventions and more. Wildly popular as a teacher of ASL storytelling and ASL interpretation, Trix impresses audiences at all levels of ASL skill, from toe-dipping novices to fluent experts.
During her two day workshop in Vermont she will present on Non-manual signs in ASL, ASL Classifiers and ASL Semantics. This workshop will focus on developing accurate non-manual signals and markers as used in ASL.
Demonstrations of each category of facial behaviors and head movements will be shown in context. In addition participants will have hands-on experiences & skill building activities needed for appropriate classifier use applied to complex descriptions and images. The workshop will enhance participants' ASL storytelling abilities, expressive & receptive communication skills and ASL/English translation skills.
Friday, October 22nd & Saturday, October 23rd, 2004 9am til 4pm
