Hi there!

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the National Conference for Community and Justice's ANYTOWN program. Camp ANYTOWN is a six day social justice, community building and leadership camp for high school age youth taking place from August 17 - 22, 2008.

More information is below, but you can also read about camp and students can register at www.nccjctwma.org!

ANYTOWN is an overnight camp in beautiful Colebrook, Connecticut, and it attracts an incredibly diverse group of over 60 high school students from all over Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. We spend the six days together learning about each other and ourselves, exploring topics like racism, sexism, heterosexism, and oppression, and preparing to make social change in our communities. In addition to all of that, participants play games, sing ridiculous songs, go swimming, and build friendships that last a lifetime. It's an amazing week that changes the lives of youth.

But don't just take it from me. Here's what some past ANYTOWNers have to say about their experiences:

• "Overall, I would say that the experience I had was the biggest life changing event so far."
• "Throughout the week, I learned how to recognize the many "isms", including Racism, Sexism and Anti-Semitism."
• "ANYTOWN was not just about what I learned, but also how I learned."
• "By the end of the week, ANYTOWN became my ideal community."
• "ANYTOWN was the most unique and empowering learning experience."
• "I strongly believe that ANYTOWN is 100% worth the time!"

I'd love your help in spreading the word about ANYTOWN and by recommending some youth to participate. We have financial aid and scholarships available for people who cannot afford the cost of ANYTOWN, so anyone who is interested should apply, regardless of financial situation!

Students can register online at www.nccjctwma.org. Register TODAY!

Thank you very much for your help, and please contact me at any time with questions.
