The workshop, entitled “Now is the Time: Alternative Media and Grassroots Organizations,” will be offered by a special guest instructor, Dr. Carlos Fontes, who is a founder- member of Worcester IndyMedia and an active member of Western Mass IndyMedia, as well as a professor of Communications at Worcester State College. Its purpose is to introduce participants to different methods of using alternative media to strengthen their organizations and to help them achieve their goals. This workshop will introduce participants to several methods of using alternative media to strengthen an organization and help it achieve its goals.
