Please help us get the word out to K-12 teachers, counselors, principals, superintendents, school Board/Committee members, teacher educators, staff development professionals, graduate students—anyone and everyone you can think of who might find this conference informative and helpful toward improving student achievement and toward creating a social justice education curriculum in their classrooms and an equitable climate in their schools. The Institute presents a social justice education model for critically examining curricular, programmatic, organizational and professional development aspects of K-12 schooling. Participants will be introduced to SJE practices to enhance student academic achievement, and will be encouraged to become social justice change agents for their schools and school systems. Participants will develop a classroom/curriculum/school climate change plan while at the Institute, and Institute Faculty will find ways to help monitor participant success implementing the change plan.
