LEAFLET YWCA FUNDRAISER
7pm, Symphony Hall, Court Square at Columbus Avenue, Springfield. UAW
Local 2322 members of the YWCA of Western Massachusetts and their supporters
will conduct informational leafleting at the YWCA's 140th Anniversary
Celebration. Please join us! This is being done to inform the public on the
status of contract negotiations in which YWCA management has offered zero
wage increases claiming they are unable to afford raises. But an audit
conducted by the UAW has shown they have approximately a $300,000 "surplus"
so far this fiscal year. (Background info here
<http://www.somethingaboutmaryjohnson.com/> .) Info: Ron Patenaude,
President UAW Local 2322, uaw2322 at uaw2322.org, 534-7600, cell 413-427-3785.
