Dear friends,

Please join us on Wednesday, June 25 2008 at 5:30pm to 7:30pm to discuss the
Green Economy and explore creating a non-partisan Working Group of advocates
for a Green Economy which

. Serves local communities

. Guarantees workers' rights to organize

. Promotes community-owned sustainable projects

This meeting will be held at Pioneer Valley Central Labor Council, 640 Page
Blvd, Springfield, across from the old Westinghouse complex.

We will begin the meeting asking you

. What do you mean by green economy?

. Are you involved in a green economy project now?

Then we'll hear from invited guests:

. Robert Brandt - Staff Director for Rep. Daniel E. Bosley, Chair of
Joint Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies,
http://www.mass.gov/legis/comm/j12.htm

. Lisa Clauson - Executive Director, Community Labor United,
http://www.massclu.org

. Marina Spitkovskaya - Alternatives for Communities and Environment,
http://www.ace-ej.org/

Last but not least, we will decide whether to form a Green Economy Working
Group based on the above principles.

In solidarity,

Jon Weissman - Western Mass Jobs with Justice & Pioneer Valley Central Labor
Council

Eduardo Suarez - ECHO for Sustainable Development

Carlos Vega - Nueva Esperanza
