Counseling Service Clinician

The Mount Holyoke College Counseling Service is seeking a bright, 
energetic and inspiring team player to join our clinical team.  
Responsibilities include:  intake assessment, individual and group 
therapy, crisis assessment/intervention, outreach, consultation and 
referral.  Ideal candidates will hold Massachusetts licensure as a 
clinical social worker or as a psychologist. However, license-eligible 
candidates are encouraged to apply.  Requirements include: experience 
with the above-mentioned responsibilities; sensitivity to and 
appreciation for cultural differences; the ability to relate 
empathically and consistently with a diverse student population; 
aspiration toward multicultural competence; adherence to legal and 
ethical standards, excellent oral and written communication skills, the 
ability and desire to be a supportive, collegial team player and a 
sense of humor.  Special consideration will be given to candidates who 
have experience working at a college counseling service.

This is a full-time ten month position beginning as soon as January 
15th, 2008 and as late as September 1st, 2008 depending on the needs of 
the chosen candidate. The position has the potential to include an 
“outreach coordinator” or a “diversity/inclusion coordinator” role 
depending on the skills and aspirations of the chosen candidate.
