This should be excellent.  Raúl Quiñones Rosado is married to María Reinat
Pumarejo, activist and organizer from Puerto Rico.  Raúl and María are the co-
founders of ilé in PR, Institute for Latino Empowerment.  They have also done
extensive work here in the Pioneer Valley, in Noho with Casa Latina and
community-based organizing in Holyoke.  Hope you can make it.

Dear friends:

I wanted to give you all a heads up on a half-day introductory
workshop I will be offering this coming October 20th, hosted by The
Center for Contemplative Mind in Society, in Northampton. My dear
friend and colleague, Rose Sackey-Milligan, Director of C-Mind's
Social Justice Program, had me over there last year for a short
presentation, and then later as a mentor in the program's retreat for
social and spiritual activists.

While this workshop is still "introductory" (a full workshop is a two-
day event), it will provide a pretty good overview of the integral
change approach I present in my new book, "Consciousness-in-Action:
Toward an Integral Psychology of Liberation & Transformation."  It is
also designed to give participants a fairly good sense of the
principles, practices and processes we use in our anti-oppression/
transformative organizing, leadership development, and coaching at
ilé. Naturally, the book will be available for sale.

As this work is geared toward people interested in both personal and
social transformation, I hope you consider joining me for this event.
Further, as the challenging work of personal and social change is
best engaged in community, I encourage you to invite a friend or
colleague similarly committed to come with you.
