Hospice (VNAH), Greenfield.  Visit

Attached is an MP3 and below is the script of a radio ad that will start a
two-week run Thursday November 8 on four stations listed below.  This will
blanket both Hampshire and Franklin Counties.

Script:

For many years the Registered Nurses who work for Bay state’s VNA and
Hospice in Greenfield have served patients here in the Pioneer valley.  They
have provided the highest quality care, always with compassion and kindness.


But now Baystate Health says they will close the Greenfield office on
December 8th.  The victims of the closing are the patients in the Pioneer
Valley.  

Baystate Health, one of the most Profitable non-profits in the State has a
surplus of 94 million dollars in the last two years.  The Bay State who
claimed a long term commitment has decided to put profits over patients.
Rather than serving the home health needs of our area they propose to
abandon the residents and shut the doors of their Greenfield office. 

Tim Rice of Greenfield is a Trustee of Baystate Health.  Let him know you’re
outraged that what they call the best health care in the area is being shut
down but most of all call Tim Rice at (413) 772-0227 and tell him to keep
the VNA and Hospice open.
