The medical and public health impact of the war for Iraqi combatants and civilians - Dr. Barry Levy, MD, Tufts Univ. School of Medicine
Understanding, Treating, and Coping with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder - David Bressem, MEd, MSW, LICSW, Springfield Vet Ctr., Dr. Andrew Pomerantz, MD, White River Junction VA Medical Ctr, and a panel of Iraq and Vietnam Veterans and family members.
Treating War Casualties - Dr. Gene Bolles, MD, former chief of neurosurgery, Landstuhl U.S. Military Medical Center, Germany
Ethics, War and the Health Care Professional - Dr. John Pastore, MD, Tufts Univ. School of Medicine
The event is free and open to all, with lunch (donation requested); Open Discussion follows sessions

Continuing Education Credit for medical professionals
Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to:
1. Discuss the spectrum of medical and psychological injuries suffered by combatants and civilians in war
2. Discuss treatment options for the psychological and physical condition seen in veterans in a primary care setting.
3. Describe the symptoms of post traumatic stress syndrome and related psychological disorders seen in veterans.
4. Discuss the ethical issues for health care professionals that may arise as a result of war
