[Antiracism] Shut Down Guantanamo NOW!

Join us at noon on Thursday 1/11/07 in front of First Churches in Northampton. We will be holding a demonstration calling for the Shut Down of Guantanamo Now! Our actions in Western Mass are part of an International Day To Shut Down Guantanamo; there will be vigils and demonstrations and marches and civil disobedience actions all around the world on this fifth anniversary of the first prisoners being brought to the Guantanamo Bay prison.  

We will be reading actual case histories of detention and torture; alongside of a Guatanamo prison "cell", with "prisoners" in orange jumpsuits and "guards" in military fatigues. If you would like to dress as a prisoner or guard (we have costumes), or read from these moving accounts, or if you would simply like to stand with us, come to First Churches on Thursday from noon to one and help us commemorate this anniversary and call on Congress to put an end to the outrages of torture, detention and extraordinary rendition.
