(1) ADOPT A BIG Y! The week of December 16, Western Mass. Justice @
Smithfield Committee will be leafleting Big Y customers about Tar Heel pork
and Big Y's unwillingness to help stop the abuse. Want to help? Please Reply
or call, and also suggest a store to leaflet.

(2) COMPLAIN TO BIG Y! Ask Big Y to remove Tar Heel pork from its shelves at
https://www.bigy.com/contact/index.php. Please remember to send WMJwJ any
replies you receive from Big Y.

(3) VOTE FOR DON D'AMOUR! Massachusetts Jobs with Justice has received the
nominations for Massachusetts Grinch of the Year, and one of them is our
very own Don D'Amour, CEO of Big Y Foods.
	Vote at http://www.unionvoice.org/massjwj/ma_grinch_07.html. He
deserves to be Grinch because he doesn't back down from busting unions and
selling products from human rights violator Smithfield Foods. (We realize
the competition is stiff. Contact WMJwJ if you need more info.)

(3) Have a SMITHFIELD JUSTICE HOLIDAY! Stay away from Smithfield pork
products that are packaged with abuse. Those with USDA Establishment Code
18079 or 79C correspond to the Tar Heel plant.
	Click
http://www.smithfieldjustice.com/beaninformaedconsumer.php#Main to see where
to look.

(4) Send a HOLIDAY CARD encouraging Smithfield workers to keep up the fight!
Cards can be mailed to Eastern North Carolina Workers Center, 3450 Capuano
Road, Lumberton NC 28358.

4) Donate money in any amount to the SMITHFIELD WORKERS JUSTICE FUND. The
Fund is sponsored by Interfaith Worker Justice (www.iwj.org) and all
proceeds go directly to Smithfield families in need. Contributions can be
made online at http://ufcwaction.org/ct/G1aTFV61Mu97.

5) TELL PAULA to drop Smithfield! Celebrity chef Paula Deen has sold her
good name to Smithfield Foods to help Smithfield present a wholesome,
family-friendly image. Go to http://www.pauladeen.com/contact and tell Ms.
Deen what you think of her support of Smithfield. Ask her to meet with the
suffering workers of Tar Heel!

6) Become a SMITHFIELD SLEUTH! Follow easy instructions at
http://ufcwaction.org/ct/F1aTFV61Mu9E to find out if your grocer carries
Smithfield Tar Heel pork. If you find the problem pork, the instructions
include an educational letter to your store manager.
