Vigil to protest the continuation of the war in Iraq
Please Join Us! Wednesday, September 27, 5-6 p.m., South Hadley Common
As we protested together a pre-emptive war in Iraq, we are gathering again
in a peaceful, non-violent vigil on the South Hadley Common and across
the street in front of the First Congregational Church on Wednesday,
September 27 from 5 to 6 p.m. to protest the continuation of the war in
Iraq.
Our Vigil occurs in conjunction with and in support of the non-violent
protests, acts of civil disobedience, events and activities of the
signers of the Declaration of Peace from September 21 to September 28
in Washington D.C. and in over 350 cities and towns all across the
nation.
All are welcome. Please join us for all or part of the hour.
We shall have copies of the Declaration of Peace at the Vigil.
The Declaration calls for a prompt withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq
and for a comprehensive and concrete plan for peace.
For more information you may visit www.declarationofpeace.org.
or call 413-534-1565, or e-mail jellenbu at mtholyoke.edu.
We all hope to see all of you on Wednesday.
Please help us with publicity and circulate this widely to your lists.
And please forgive duplicate postings.
Thanks for all you do,
Alexandra, Joan, John, Judith, Nate, Peggy, and Susan
