"A Night in Old San Juan" to feature top Puerto Rican artists Roy Brown and
Jose Gonzalez in Concert at Umass/Amherst



       An outstanding ensemble of Puerto Rico's top singer/songwriters and
musicians will come together for a unique celebration of Latin music on
Friday October 13 at 7:00 PM at Bowker Auditorium, UMass, Amherst.  Puerto
Rico's legendary "Nueva Trova" singer *Roy Brown* and San Juan's upcoming
singing sensation *Fernando Ferrer* will join forces with "Cuatro" virtuoso
 "*Jose Gonzalez* and Criollo Clásico" for a dazzling musical tribute to the
festive San Juan music scene.

      The concert will also feature special guest Tao Rodriguez-Seeger (of
"The Mammals" and grandson of legendary Pete Seeger) and the electrifying
dance beats of Afro- Puerto Rican "Bomba"  performed  by Amherst Regional  High
School's "Conjunto de Bomba".
