Subject: Fwd: Petition racist video game
Please pass on...
OK folks...time for YOU to help ME.
I need everyone available to PLEASE sign this petition.
This new game is called GUN and is racist and inflammatory in it's
portrayal of my people...the APACHE INDIANS.
I don't care that some will argue "It's just a GAME!"....it's NOT just a
"game", it's a racist covert attempt to spread HATE against the indigenous
people all around the world, under the guise of a "game".....and has NO
PLACE in the lives of our future, which is the children that it is
marketed towards.
Sure, it's marked "M" for Mature but we all know how effective those
"grading systems" are in preventing children from buying, and playing
adult themed "games".
This "game" makes it a "sport" to KILL INDIANS...no different than if a
game was made showing African Americans being chained and hunted ala
KKK.....or Jews being tortured and gassed ala Nazis....I can imagine the
uproar if those "games" were ever made and marketed towards children, so
why not an uproar about this one marketed as a sporting "game" to kill
Native Americans?!
Or do you think it's OK to KILL US even if it's just in a "game"?
I would also like to ask for your assistance, in that if you agree that
this game needs to be pulled off the market and the company who sells it,
Activision , be held responsible and accountable for the damage this is
causing, PLEASE send me a short but sweet [j/k] letter stating your
opinion of this game and the racist portrayal of Indians, sign and date
it, electronic signature is fine....and in it state that I have permission
to forward your message to the proper authorities, so that I can collect
signatures and send them to the FTC and also to file a complaint with the
proper authorities, to see this thing removed off the market.
In advance allow me to ahe*hye*e [THANK YOU ], for taking the time to
write and send me, your personal opinion letter and for signing the
petition.

GUN video game is the subject of Native boycott
Posted: March 13, 2006
by: Matt Ross / Indian Country Today
SEATTLE - Surrounded by an onslaught of hatchet-wielding Indians
attempting
to blockade a railway trestle, the "hero" fearlessly raises his rifle and
begins to fire indiscriminately.
The ultimate goal is to kill all those who stand in the way of the hero's
quest. During this particular mission, it was a band of Apache that was in
the gun's crosshairs.
This depiction of the Wild West, whether this scenario ever occurred in
the
late 19th century, is being portrayed in thousands of homes across America
in the form of a video game and has drawn the condemnation of an American
Indian group. The Association for American Indian Development has launched
a petition demanding the recall of the game GUN as produced by Activision
Inc., of Santa Monica, Calif.
