[Antiracism] Western Mass Katrina meeting

Dear folks,
   
  Sorry if this was a duplicate message.
   
  The Katrina Solidarity Committee will meet on Tuesday, March 21, from 7PM until 8:30PM,  at the Center for Contemplative Mind in Society in Northampton,  199 Main St
south of Haymarket, just before the alley, on the 3rd floor.
   
   
  At  this meeting we will be  divide up what needs to be done during Curtis Muhammad’s visit in early April, such as:  preparing a petition to be used at the events, providing Curtis with transportation,  and petitioning  and  collecting funds for hurricane relief at the  events.
   
  We will also talk about  Freedom Summer 2006,   being planned by  Katrina on the Ground which Curtis and the People’s Hurricane Relief Fund are  involved in. Hundreds of students from Connecticut are participating  in KOG’s  Spring Break and we may support a similar initiative  among students in the Five Colleges.
   
   
  Hope to see you next Tuesday. If you can’t make it but  want to help  let us know.
