Voices From Inside: Women Speak from Prison
Thursday March 23, 7:30 pm
Rivers Memorial Auditorium Western New England College
1215 Wilbraham Road, Springfield, MA

Members of "Voices from Inside," a creative writing program for incarcerated
and formerly incarcerated women, will present an ensemble performance
incorporating drama and music, directed by nationally-recognized performance
poet Magdalena Gomez. Their poetry is courageous, powerful, and raw,
challenging public perceptions about those who go to prison and why. Director
Magdalena Gomez will be featured in a future episode of our WGBY-
produced "Making It Here." WGBY helped to secure funding from the National
Center for Outreach for this important project. Visit the WNEC websitefor
directions to this free event.
